You can find Rock and Roll music in the most unheard places in the world, like for instance,… in Lonigo, a small town between Vicenza and Verona, north-east of Italy, Rock music seems to be alive too. Jack La Motta and your bones are the musicians who take care of that!
How and when did you start.
We started 3 years ago to play this kind of music, after seeing a Slam&Howie’s show.
Describe your music style.
Country, rock, punk, …violent, …rural, …country.
How did your love for this music start, which age, which artist.
One of us, Big Winston Tony, was very keen on country music. And after a Slam&Howie’s show, 3 years ago, we decided to become a bastard country band!
Who did influence you? Sergio Leone. Oh, must be said, Johnny Cash of course.
Do you write your own songs?
Yes, a lot. We started with covers (Cash, Elvis, Hank III, Beatles) but now 90% of our show is original.
If so, where do you get your inspiration? Real life, or total fantasy. Do you write together?
Some tracks are written together, others come from an idea of one of us. But we write together.
Our lyrics are marvellous pieces of literature, as you can imagine. Clint Eastwood and Franco Nero come in our dreams every night and tell us what to write.
Tell us about your latest cd.
A real kick in the ass! “Baby give me my chick”. 12 tracks, as the apostles. You can find also a videoclip in youtube, “Baby give me my chick”. Go Down Records, man!
What are your do’s and don’ts on stage?
We do a lot of mess.
We don’t speak too much (ever seen a chatty cowboy?)
What’s important, musical quality or stage fun?
Musical quality?! Puah! We are not Beethoven! The most important thing: make people have fun.
Please see our stage clothes in our pictures… a lot of dust and sweat everywhere!
Do you like other styles than rockandroll?
Yes, we listen a lot of music. Both country and western.
Is there an artist you would like to work with in future?
Hmm… Ennio Morricone.
Where would you like to play, festival/ country/ event/ … Everywhere, with people who enjoy to have fun.
Tell us a fun story about your band or gig.
At Animal Festival (!), near Venice. Rain all the day long, we played on the grass… at least, people jumping over and under an ocean of mud. Really fun, also, the making of “Baby give me my chick” video… see it on Youtube.
Do you regret anything? Missed chance, big mistake, …
We are too much young to have any regret.
Maybe, the missed robbery in that bank of El Paso…
