Not so very long ago, The Mods and The Rockers where true rivals, hating each others lifestyle, clothing, hairdo, music, language and cycles. The fighting battles at English beaches -mid 60’s- were covered and hyped by the world-media.
Not everyone was thinking square though… Ringo Stars’ famous answer to the question “Are you a Mod or a Rocker..?”: “I’m a MOCKER!”
Nowadays there’s lot’s of mutual respect between The Mods and The Rockers, for the vintage cycles, the scooters, the music, etc. That’s why The Road Rocket Cafe-Racer Club & Amsterdam BeatClub got together to organize Hollands’ very first “Mods vs. Rockers Festival”!
Saturday June 18th – 3PM ’till 2AM
Sunday June 19th, after breakfast: The Burn-Up Drive!
Program:
On Saturday June 18th we start at 3PM with live bands Black Cat Bone Squad, The Rough Riders & The Mieters, deejays,
Scooters & Motorcycles contest and crazy games. BBQ starts round 6PM.
At Night we have WestHell 5, CoCo Jane, Milwaukee Wildman and dancing time with the deejays.
If you want to stay camping, bring a tent!
On Sunday June 19th, after breakfast, we’ll take the cycles & scooters for “The Burn-Up Drive”,’till round 4PM. Then it’s adios-time!
