Rockin’ around Turnhout

Wondering where you can go to around the Easter period when you’re not in Vegas?
Well, the answer in simple. You can travel to Belgium, a little country in Europe but…. with a great festival. Turnhout is the place to be; a village one hour drive from Brussels and Eindhoven (NL) is only 30 minutes away.
Rockin’ around Turnhout is a world famous Rock ‘n’ Roll barcrawl and it’s an annual event since 1996!
A lot of (famous) bands (mostly from Europe) will be playing the house down. It started already Friday April 22 with Lawen Stark and the Slide Boppers from Belgium. A great band for opening this festival.
On Saturday it’s time for The Tennessee Boys (from Portugal), Charlie Thompson and The Jets (both from the UK). Very well known, so I don’t have to introduce them anymore. They’ll all be playing around 9 PM.

On Sunday you can see these bands play around 8 PM:
Los Venturas (B)
The Brewsters (D)
Joe Brew & The Six Pack Two (P)
The Rob Ryan Roadshow (D)
Hot Rhythm ‘n Booze (F)
The Cry Babies (D)
The Three Farmer Boys (NL)
The Swell Rhythm’ Combo
Moonshine Reunion (B)
The Lonesome Drifters (D)
Lil’ Ester & her Tin Stars (Nl)
Annita & The Starbombers (Nl)
El Rio Trio (NL)
The Drugstore Cowboys (UK)

At 7 PM there will be a surprise act and at 11 PM the band Smokestack Lightnin’.
For those who haven’t had enough. On Monday April 25th as closure of this festival you can see the band The Wild Deuces (B).

If you have cleaned up the attic, you can bring your stuff with you, because on Sunday there will be a small flee market from from 3 PM till 7 PM.
