Tell us about yourself. Apple Nicole Angel is a pin-up, horror and fetish model who also performs burlesque. Apple began her own burlesque troupe, TnT Burlesque in Oklahoma City, in late 2010. She has been a radio personality, club promoter, made her film debut in an independent film and has done a few television commercials. Apple is currently writing a comic book series titled “Apple’s Kiss”.
How did you come to be involved in pin-up/burlesque?
A friend took some photos of me and Dennis Willman, creator of Ginger-Stein graphic novels, saw them and wanted me to be one of the body models for Ginger-Stein. That snowballed into work with some of the most incredible horror & comic book illustrators and pin-up photographers in the US. Burlesque was a love of mine for years but when I attended the Burlesque Hall of Fame event in 2010 I knew that I was hooked! I began taking classes at a Teaze Dance & Fitness and their burlesque class really fed my cheeky/naughty spirit! The school’s owner and I began talking and I realized that I wanted to promote positive female self images by starting my own burlesque troupe. It’s been an amazing time thus far and I can’t wait to keep learning more!
How would you describe the rockabilly or psychobilly scene in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma has a small rockabilly scene but we’re a spirited bunch! When we get together you never know where the hijinks will lead! We all support each other a lot and are a great group to party with… once you’re in; you’re in! My favorite local performer is Oklahoma’s answer to Elvis, Brian Lee Dunning. If I’m in town you’ll find me at his shows!
What is your favorite photo of yourself?
I had such a good time at my last photo shoot with DynaMite Dames! The work I do with them is always great because the vibe is always so cool. We shot 4 different sets and I could’ve shot a million more with them!!
Top five classic movies?
Kitten With a Whip, Gigi, McLintock!, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and (it’s not exactly a classic but it’s my favorite nonetheless) Devil’s Advocate.

Apple’s burlesque debut will be April 1st and 2nd in Oklahoma City at The Boom and she’s so excited about it!! The event is called “All That Teaze” and will be a stunning show filled with 50’s style burlesque, showgirls, aerialists and group dance routines!
