Hello Rockabillies/bella’s and Teds,
Me and my family went of to Riethoven to see Lou Cifer And The Hellions play along with the Jets, CC Jerome and the Downbeat Meastros. We never thought they would be this good!!!
First the band. Lou Cifer is rocking with his band, Bill Zebop, Dave Hill and Hal Hellion, since 1995. A lot of teddy boys like them for their red hot rock and roll sound. I spoke to Lou Cifer in person at the beginning, offered him a drink. he said with a smile: “no, don’t bother, i get the drinks for free”. Then i asked him for merchandise, because I brought some extra cash for a t-shirt and a patch or something. “No”, he said,”we are the laziest band in the world. We don’t do merch ourselves, you can get some merch at rockabilly rules.com, i think”. Leaving me empty-handed, but had a fun time hanging with him!
Then the performance. They started of with “Devils Awakening”, and I wanted to bop on that song for a long time! So I gave the camera to my brother, and got on the floor! And it only went better from there. The crowd went wild, as they say! And, of course, because there were so many teds, they could’nt miss out on “God Bless The Teds”, “Gotta Be A Ted”, “Bad Ted Boogie” and “Do You Believe”! You really have to see them for yourselves.
I made a little clip for you rockers to get a impression!
