On Saturday, May 7th, 2011,  The Reckless Ones played at Reggies Music Joint in Chicago, Illinois and rocked like no other, giving it their all .

The Reckless Ones consists of  Kevin O’Leary, lead singer and guitarist, Adam Boatright, Upright Bass and vocals and Dylan Patterson, drums and vocals. This was Rockabilly/ Psychobilly at it’s best and other bands that complimented them as well  that consisted of , 13 Tikis, The Gravetones, Tracer Bullet and of course headlining, The Reckless Ones that came back like they always do and left no disappointment and lived up to their name. Rockin out tunes that left us dancing and wanting more.

The bands were live and in action as the crowd starting slam dancing, spilling beer and being reckless like the band wanted them to. Not one person in the audience was standing still for this band. It was a danse craze like no other that seemed to go on and on . This band always surprises us and entertains us like no other band. The Reckless Ones looked sharp and fresh and was ready to give it their all. Blood, Sweat and Tears is what we  got and wow were we ever so fulfilled.

Kevin O ‘Leary, the lead singer and  guitarist busted out their classic track  ” Dead and Gone ” and the crowd sang right back with him with good audience participation and feeling. It was so touching to see the audience go wild and sing this rockabilly anthem in unison. It was a moving moment and all could relate to the song, as it was Mothers Day it was super touching to me as my mother has been dead since 1993 so it meant a lot to me. Kevin  O’ Leary, sings to us, ” All my friends are dead and gone ” and everyone in the audience thought of someone they have lost that was near and dear to them.  Another track that was memorable was ” Reckless Ones ” which is an anthem to the band and what they stand for which was unique and true to it’s strength and measured up and lived up to its expectations. Kevin O’ Leary, lead singer also had us singing to a track, called ” Nothin “, that was a bad assed song that we will never forget. This song was teaching us a lesson about life that we would not forget how some people think there something when they are really nothing.

Song after song, came and went and left us with  a smile and a danse step in the mix , a learning lesson, an inspiration and them some. After the set ended, The Reckless Ones surprised us and busted out with an encore of a cover, of  The Beatles, ” Roll Over Beethoven ” and the crowd rocked out to it and roared for more and sadly their wasn’t any more time so it ended on that note.  Catch them on their tour now, raise some hell and get reckless with them.
