Phil Friendly finished his 2011 European tour and is back to his home in the US, to get back on the road again over there.

He also got some good news from his manager: three of his songs with Albert Lee are used in the soundtrack of a new big-budget American TV series called ‘Femmes Fatales’. It’s going to be aired on the International channel HBO/Cinemax world-wide this year. HBO/Cinemax has different sister-channels in various countries around the world. In Holland, for instance, they work with Endemol.

Phil had other songs of his own in films now:

‘Every Single Day’ in ‘Saving Grace B. Jones’,
‘Savin’ Rasputin’ and ‘Complicated Man’ (both recorded with Pete Anderson) and ‘Monkey Bop’ (with Albert Lee) in the TV thriller ‘Tsunami Beach Club’
He has also been recording a couple of radio jingles.

A big American record company Brunswick is repackaging his album with Albert Lee (with some additional tracks) and it is beeing released as we speak. He might have to come to Europe next year, to promote this new CD with Albert Lee.

Here’s a video somebody made with one of Phil’s songs (recorded with the Dwight Yoakam guitarist Pete Anderson):
