I know, I know; long time no column! I’ve been very busy with all the Austin Fashion Week events, as well as planning for a brand spankin’ new burlesque festival!
Late August was a busy time in fashion world here in Austin with the 2nd annual Austin Fashion Week! I was participating in many fashion week events, and was even nominated for a best makeup artist people’s choice award as well as my mash-up team being nominated for a critic’s choice award! Here’s a few pics of all the spangly fun!

On the runway at the opening event for Austin Fashion Week, I also did makeup and bodypaint for this team! Models: Lauren Rachelle and Robby Gonzales, photog: Julien Larmay, hair: Pamela Ivy Kim, Clothing: Material, Jewelry: Diamonds & Guns by Action Jackson.
During fashion week I also presented one of my pin-up hair and makeup workshop where I taught a class of ladies all about acheiving that perfect pin-up look!
You can tell I’m teaching cuz I’m pointing all professional-like 😛
Lastly, I ended the week at the Austin Fashion Awards! I didn’t win, but sure had a great time talking with all the other nominees and participants, not to mention it was a great excuse to wear my newly finished pin-up dress I’d been working on!
