2013 was a big year for the Dutch band “Slapback Johnny”. By working hard and rocking even harder these guys have managed to play nearly 40 shows in every bar, music hall and festival they could find.
It’s been a year since their self-titled debut containing songs from Louis Jordan, J.L. Lewis and B.L. Riley came out. Nowadays this band is putting it’s focus on writing their own songs and “Doin’ Time” is only a glimpse of what’s to come.
Not only are the songs written by the band-members, the recordings were also done by themselves. So if you’re up for drums, doghouse bass, piano and guitar playing a wild and swinging mix of rockabilly, rock ’n roll, jump-blues and country be sure to check this E.P. out.
