In the spring of 2012 I’ve already introduced you to The Obscuritones, a 6 piece band from London (UK), by reviewing their 8-track demo.

The Obscuritones are Joey Hill and Gaby Romano (both vocals), Hugh Byrne (guitar and vocals), Andy Bavington (bass), Phil Casey (drums) and Sam Kidman (guitar).

This is the band’s first proper release, recorded back in 2012, but now available on the band’s own Brockwell Records label.

The band have played at Rock ‘n’ Roll and vintage festivals across the UK and Europe (France, Holland, Belgium and Ireland) and will be appearing at the Rockin’ Nieppe Festival in Lille (France) in September supporting Kim Lenz.

You can listen to 12 tracks on the album, most of them are written by several band members, supplemented with a few covers, like Rockabilly Boogie and Jim Dandy.

The band has a catchy sound, very enthusiastic. And as I said before in my previous review, the two female singers are just fantastic; such a great voices!

Wondering where you can see them live on stage? Just check the website:
